IIT Welcomes New EITS Students

The IIT is pleased to welcome two new students to the Environmental and Integrative Toxicological Sciences (EITS) multi-disciplinary graduate program. New students include:
Alanis Torres-BerríosComparative Medicine and Integrative Biology
Mentor: Karilyn Sant
"My research interests center on characterizing the mechanisms of toxicity of the understudied metabolites and byproducts of the legacy pesticide DDT with the goal of evaluating their potential hazards to wildlife and human health."
Sarah MarksPharmacology and Toxicology
Mentor: Jonathan Diedrich
"My research interests focus on the intersection of molecular toxicology and oncology, specifically investigating how environmental contaminants influence the progression of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC)."
