RESEARCH INTERESTS
Dr. Woolhiser's research has primarily focused on the area of Immunotoxicology. A major emphasis has been the investigation of allergy potential for industrial chemicals and biotechnologically-derived traits. The Dow Chemical laboratory maintains broad expertise in most mammalian toxicities and numerous environmental, aquatic species. The laboratory has also established a Predictive Toxicology and Safety Assessment Center that is working to implement next generation, predictive solutions (in silico, in vitro, other) for product and chemical safety.
