RESEARCH INTERESTS
Dr. Long's toxicological research is focused on the analytical toxicology of the movement of inorganics in water. The environments he studies include groundwater, rivers, lakes, oceans, and rain. Media include water, sediments, soils, and biological material. He works to understand and model the geochemical (bio/inorganic/isotopic) state and evolution of aquatic systems. Additionally, he is interested in linking knowledge of microbiological processes to geochemical processes and models.
