Nikita JoshiCooperating Doctoral Program: Pharmacology and Toxicology

EITS Track: Biomedical Toxicology

Education: B.S., Chemistry, University of Mumbai

Research Interests:
I am interested in studying how the blood coagulation cascade and its associated proteins are involved in the development and progression of liver disease. My goal is to understand the mechanisms underlying the regulation of tissue factor expression and activity in the liver and investigate the role of coagulation proteases, such as thrombin, in acute liver toxicity and chronic liver disease.

Major Professor: James Luyendyk, Pathobiology and Diagnostic Investigation
